TiN: Titanium Nitride - General purpose coating ideal for low carbon steels.  Offers lubricity and longer tool life versus uncoated tools.
TiALN: Titanium Aluminum Nitride - Ideal for Titanium, hardened steels, stainless steels and high temp applications.  Offers longer tool life, faster speeds and feeds and gives best results in applications that generate heat.
